Lisa Piediscalzi, L.Ac., RCST ®, IBCLC

After growing up in the Midwest, I moved to Santa Cruz to study alternative medicine, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University. Since 1994 I have worked in private practice as a licensed acupuncturist, adding complementary modalities to my skill set over the years. In 2006, I completed a 700-hour foundational training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (CST), and have subsequently participated in several hundred hours of trainings focussed specifically on CST treatment of newborns and infants. In 2010 I became credentialed as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and currently hold a position as a lactation consultant at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center.

When working with families, I draw upon my knowledge of alternative medicine, craniosacral therapy, and lactation to create an integrative treatment plan that addresses each patient’s unique needs. I personally believe that I have the best job in the world, and am deeply honored to support families during their tender postpartum years.
